INTERLOCK SWITCH INSTALLATION

Interlock switches can only be safely fitted to a machine that is equipped with a “NO VOLTAGE CONTACTOR SYSTEM” and a control circuit voltage of 110v or less.

To check if the machine has a “NO VOLTAGE CONTACTOR SYSTEM”

Please test using the following procedure:

• Switch on the power and start the machine.

• Switch the machine off using the machine isolator NOT the stop start buttons the machine will come to a stop.

• Turn the machine isolator back on, if the machine starts straight up then the machine does not have a “NO VOLTAGE CONTACTOR SYSTEM”.

• In this case a “NO VOLTAGE CONTACTOR SYSTEM” must be installed before an interlocked guard can be safely fitted.
